Kicking Daisies, Featuring Drummer Caitlin Kalafus, Release a New Video

Inspired by groups as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Paramore and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kicking Daisies draws from a wide variety of influences to create a sound that is truly unique.

You need to experience Kicking Daisies live to know what they are really about. They’ve been said to be prodigies; but what they really are, are great musicians, songwriters and performers.

While they pull influences from the past, they are clearly the direction for the future of music. Singers, songwriters and multi instrumentalists’ intent on setting a new path that blends riff driven rock with incredible vocal harmonies to create a sound that fills you with that “I’ve just heard something amazing” feeling.

Caitlin has been featured in numerous publications. Two times in the Connecticut Post, the New Haven Advocate, and Modern Drummer. She is also a Gibraltar Artist.

Caitlin is a powerhouse behind the kit & her recent performance at the Fairfield Theater Company in Fairfield, CT just solidified her place among the music industry’s elite female drummers. Caitlin’s appeal is infectious … she truly loves her craft! She’s barely 17 years old & her energy fuels Kicking Daisies through their set of original material. She is the band leader, in musical & business sense, a songwriter (she plays guitar) & a great vocalist, as well. Her strengths have grown as a working musician for years with area musicians praising her gift … I know that, because I, myself, am a drummer for 30+ years. I attend every KD show because they are a joy to watch. They will be releasing their first CD in a few months, so get on board. Caitlin will see to it that you get your fill … (drum) fill, that is.
