Designed by the crazy drum hardware scientists Brent Barnett and Bryan Scheidecker, the Geosphere Rack was the hit of the 2010 NAMM show. The talented duo is at it again as the rack is now on display at Sam Ash in Hollywood, CA. If you missed the NAMM show come on down and see it. If you can’t make it to Hollywood this video is the next best thing. Sam Ash Drum Shop manager John Parker shows off the rack and talks about the benefits of using Gibraltar Hardware. Check it out 7401 Sunset Blvd.

Hello,
I just checked out the “Geosphere” WOW!! that is totally “EXTREME” radical! and a lot of metal.
It looks like it would take an army of drumtechs and roadies to set up and tear down at large venues.
I am a Weekend Worrior Variety Mix drummer working with several Reggae, country, rock, jazz, Funk, Soul, Latin, Salsa Pop, 70s, 80s, 90s & today cover and original bands locally. I do 2 to 3 gigs a week with different music genra bands at different venues across town and the Texas area. No Roadies, No drum techs, nor 18 wheelers.
I own a basic “H” front Gibraltar Rack hardware with the T legs and side extensions. My set is a “less is more” 5 piece configuration. I am in the process of upgrading to the “Stealth” in the next few weeks.
A few reasons why I use a rack system. If the riser or stage is wood, conventional cymbal stands with tom mounts wobble and move way too much. I love strong, no movement, no falling cymbal stands, toms or cowbells, set up and forget, with great clean presentation with a small foot print. It takes a little more work to load/unload in my SUV night after night, but worth the extra effort.
Thanks,
Luis
